The Hamilton – Washington Townships Sunrise Rotary Club, along with the
Miracle League of Mercer County and the Hamilton Area YMCA, will oversee
the development and construction of the Miracle League Baseball Field.
In the brief history of the Hamilton – Washington Townships Sunrise Rotary Club the organization has epitomized the Rotary Mission Statement of “Service Above Self”. Our Rotary Club raised $200,000 to build Megan’s Place in Hamilton Township, NJ (in honor of Megan Kanka, for whom Megan’s Law was named). Adopt a Child Save a Life was created in partnership with the Rotary Club of Campinas-Alvarda, Brazil to rescue and care for homeless children in situations of ultimate risk. Our club, in support of this mission, obtained a $400,000 grant.
Our club members donate time, money, clothing, food etcetera to many local organizations such as: Women’s Space, Angel Wings, Mt. Carmel Guild, Special Olympics, Home Front, Trenton Soup Kitchen and Meal on Wheels.
We feel that our proven success in fund raising and organizing successful charitable works programs make us uniquely qualified. The Hamilton Area YMCA will administer the Miracle League programs once the field is completed.
